Next Monthly MOP Program:

November 18: Author Jeff Barnes
Jeff Barnes will present at the next Mouth of the Platte dinner on "The Forts of Omaha and Council Bluffs." Our metropolitan area has written a remarkable chapter in the history of forts on the Great Plains - six military posts, including one of the first and one of the last, were built within a 15-mile radius. One was built on a site recommended by William Clark. All of the sites are featured in his first book, "Forts of the Northern Plains," which will be available for purchase and signing. More details about the forts, Jeff and his book can be found at http://www.fortsofthenorthernplains.com or on Amazon.com.

5:30 Social, Dinner/Program 6-8 p.m.

Location : Dodge Riverside Grille
                    2 Harrahs Blvd
                    Council Bluffs, IA

Reservations can be made on or before Sunday November 16
